Mr. Secular Indian teaching secularism to his Gullible disciples who are pursuing a political career as a secular politician.
Mr. Secular Indian: I welcome you disciples to your first day in
class. I know you people are obsessed with the idea of secularism, but I
will help you build on this idea today which will benefit you
tremendously in your political careers; so, let us start by taking some
questions.
A Gullible disciple: I am confused about the idea of secularism. I feel I am a secular person, but when I see some of our English channels and listen to our politicians, I feel I am not - How do I get over this dilemma?
Mr. Secular Indian: What makes you feel as though you are not secular?
A Gullible disciple: I find myself agreeing to some of the views of BJP, especially on terror, international policies and common civil code etc. But the very next moment, when the panelists on these shows call it a farce and communal, I feel I am communal too.
Mr. Secular Indian: First things first. You cannot be called secular, If you agree with the BJP. You have to be a staunch opponent of BJP policies irrespective of whether you feel they are right or wrong. Be careful, you will be tagged as a communal instantaneously if you agree with them. It would not matter what you think about the upliftment of minorities.
A gullible disciple: Some politicians are even called communal if they go to a temple or wear saffron clothes, what do you think of that?
Mr. secular Indian: Well, you cannot wear any identity that could relate you to a majority community. You can go to the temple every now and then but make sure nobody is watching you. This might come to haunt you later in your political career. At the same time make sure you make frequent visits to churches and mosques and also meet some religious leaders, but this time makes sure you do it in front of the full glare of the media.
Meanwhile a Muslim gullible disciple jumps in and asks:
A gullible Muslim disciple: I go to mosques every Friday. Would I have to be careful too ? Also would I have to meet some swami jis in front of the media?
Mr. secular Indian: No, this does not apply to you as you belong to a minority community. In fact, if someone questions you about any aspect of your faith, just call for protection of your rights and your secular friends will take care of the rest. Talking about you meeting swamis, this could severely dent your chances of being a secular politician and your credentials might get questioned, even if you have to do that, do it behind the cameras.
A gullible Muslim disciple: I find myself agreeing with the BJP sometimes, especially about the introduction of a common civil code. I feel a different civil code for the Muslims is only alienating them and I do not agree with some of it’s clauses. How do I express this view?
Mr. Secular Indian: Again, the golden rule is, you cannot agree with the BJP at any cost. Even if the BJP is trying to do some good for the minorities, you will need to portray the evil in it. These are the times when your secular credentials will be tested. Remember, you being a Muslim and finding any of BJP’s comment acceptable, can spell doom to your political career. Common civil code might be necessary for the upliftment of the Muslims, but it is not acceptable to the Muslim masses. You can only take popular decisions in politics irrespective of the consequences.
A gullible disciple: I believe we would need to work hard for the upliftment of the minority masses to be called a secular.
Mr. secular Indian: Not necessarily, as long as you are anti-BJP and are making speeches condemning Hindutva, you need not do anything, just tell the minorities that you will protect them from the Hindutva forces and hope they might vote for you. At the same time, it can be dangerous if you try to bring a lot of development in the minority dominated areas as this would mean land occupations for roads, building, and schools instead of madrasas etc.. It might be popular among few, but the masses would not like it. Always stay away from such controversies in the minority dominated areas. Moreover, educating them might harm you in the long run, as you might not be able to use them as vote banks.
A gullible disciple: What are the advantages of being a secular politician?
Mr. secular Indian: Numerous! Firstly, it negates several ills. You can be a gangster, a rapist or a murderer and you can still be called a good politician with an honest ideology if you are secular. You will be acceptable to all the secular parties and will never be treated as an untouchable in politics. Moreover, if you have any criminal cases or CBI cases pending against you, just lend support to a secular party at the centre and be rest assured that all the CBI cases against you will be withdrawn. Another advantage is you can win elections without doing any public service. Look at all the states which are dominated by these secular parties. They do not have to do any public work or develop anything. These states continue to lag behind in all human development indices. They know that as long as they are secular, their chances of remaining in power are high.
A gullible disciple: How do I tackle riots which are so rampant in our society?
Mr. secular Indian: Wait until the riots have subsided, you need not mobilise any forces to tackle these riots. But make sure you put the entire blame on the hindutva forces for the riots. Also portray the BJP as an accomplice and be very vocal about it in the media. This will exonerate you from being complacent during the riots. Look at the Mumbai riots and Babri demolition for example. A secular government was at the centre on both these occasions. They even agreed to these events tacitly, if not directly involved and let nature take its own course. But they make sure even to this day that they blame the BJP for anything and everything that happened. I am sure they could have done something about it, but they opted not to. Instead, they used it to their advantage and portrayed the BJP as the only evil. This is a great example of how you can maintain your secular credentials by just blaming the BJP, even though you were involved yourself.
A gullible disciple: Can you tackle Jihadi terrorism and maintain your secular credentials?Mr. secular Indian: You have to be very careful when talking about tackling Jihadi terrorism. This is a condition you should be able to mend to your advantage. You should oppose every law that asks for a strong action against Jihadis. This will win you a lot of secular votes. In fact, if anybody tries to condemn Jihadis, reply to them by talking about Hindutva terrorism and always portray Hindutva terrorism to be a greater threat than the Jihadis. Also, try to magnify every violent incident associated with the Hindutva forces and make them look bigger and more threatening than the Jihadis. You will be surprised to know how many hearts you will win.
A gullible disciple: Muslims are equally affected by Jihadi terrorism. What if they do not agree to our idea of being soft on terror?
Mr. secular Indian: You have to create a fear psychosis among the Muslims and tell them that the fight against Jihadis is actually a fight against Islam. Tell them all the stories about how young Muslims are being tortured in the name of this fight against the Jihadis and that this fight would only create more terrorists.
A gullible disciple: What if the majority community gets angry with us for being soft on terrorism?
Mr. secular Indian: You have to make sure that the majority community is not majority anymore by dividing them into multiple factions in the name of caste or regions or languages and so on. Then select some large but disenchanted groups among them and promise them greater opportunity in every field. Now you will be left with a select few smaller groups which will question you. This is where you have to work like a salesman and try to sell your idea of secularism. If they still question you, threaten them with thoughts that they might be tagged communal if they support the same ideas as those being supported by the BJP. This works wonderfully and helps people soften their stance on terrorism.
A gullible disciple: How can we deal with the symbols of worship and religion and still be secular?
Mr secular Indian: You do not have to worry about the symbols of a majority religion like Ram Sethu etc., but make sure you divide the majority community so much that they start believing that the artificial lines created by you are more important than their religious identity. If they still persist on retaining their identity, then tell them that they could be identified with the communal forces. This helps even hardliners change their stance. Then you can even talk about destroying those symbols to appease the secular forces. At the same time make sure you never do anything to dilute the sentiments of a minority community. Remember, this sentiment is your bread and butter. Your entire survival depends on the minorities retaining their religious identity.
A gullible disciple: How can we tackle the media?
Mr. secular Indian: The media will give you a red carpet welcome. Remember, Indian media is the mouth piece of secular forces. They have been either created by the secular forces or been made to buy our idea of secularism. They cannot exist in this country if they differ from our viewpoint. The fear psychosis we have created helps us to make the media dance to our tunes. When in any TV debates, you can score a lot of points by making anti BJP rhetoric’s. If you find yourself in any trouble, just raise the issue of Gujarat riots and portray Narendra Modi as a devil. You are sure to come out of any troubled situation.
A gullible disciple: If you are tagged as a communal, is there anything we can do to get back to the secular brigade?
Mr. secular Indian: This is very simple. It is like conversion from one religion to the other. The easier we make it, the more it boosts our strength. Even if you are in the communal alliance for sometime for your own political advantage, you can dump these communal forces whenever you feel they are redundant and join the secular brigade. Remember Naveen Patnaik. He was tagged communal and his party was called a principal architect of the Kandhmal violence by the Indian media and the secular forces alike. Though as soon as he dumped the BJP on the question of ‘winnability’, he became the poster boy for secularism and everything that happened in Kandhmal was portrayed as a BJP conspiracy. We made everyone believe that Naveen Patnaik was just having a difficult time dealing with them. Also remember Kalyan Singh, the principle architect of Babri demolition is now trying to jump into the secular bandwagon and the secular forces are trying every bit to find him a place in their bandwagon. You can perpetrate the most heinous communal crime, but you can be secular any time you renegade the BJP. Remember, BJP hatred is the core quality required to become secular and other factors do not matter as much.
I will stop here and hope all of you had a very good understanding of secularism. Now work hard on these principles and you will climb to great heights in your political career. We will discuss some other issues in the next class.

but teach him also to filter all he hears on a screen of truth,
and take only the good that comes through.
Teach him if you can, how to laugh when he is sad…
Teach him there is no shame in tears,
Teach him to scoff at cynics and to beware of too much sweetness…
Teach him to sell his brawn and brain to the highest bidders
but never to put a price-tag on his heart and soul.
Teach him to close his ears to a howling mob and to stand and fight if he thinks he’s right.
Treat him gently, but do not cuddle him, because only the test of fire makes fine steel.
Let him have the courage to be impatient…
let him have the patience to be brave.
Teach him always to have sublime faith in himself,
because then he will have sublime faith in mankind.

Are we really progressing ?
India unfortunately is lacking leaders. There was a time when we had real heroes those who fought selflessly for our freedom and sacrificed their lives.
Now a days 'leaders' are replaced by diplomats and politicians , who are hardly concerned with the development or progress of our country । They are not at all bothered by the grievances of common man. 40 percent population is living below poverty line but the rich are getting richer. The difference is growing between rich and the poor with a great speed.
They have tall claims that India has developed a lot but the truth is that we have lost our grip on many significant fronts। With this type of ineffective leadership India will lead nowhere.
We Indians copy the Western culture on silly counts like fashion , openness and homosexuality but unfortunately we do not follow the British way of tackling the awful mess . The journalism their is admirable. They do not hesitate or fear in criticizing, exposing or taking names of their politicians. Their efforts are determined and meticulous in contrast to our media where they are reluctant to question or expose their colleagues , as it happened in Radia's case.
Worst part is when our media dares to question the PM , he is either unavailable or protected by his advisers, unlike Cameron who made himself available to face all the criticism in west .
Majority of countries are victim of terrorism but the selfish politicians of India have developed the habit of consoling themselves and fooling the general lot by saying - "Spirit of Mumbai" . Rest of the world have learnt their lessons from terror attack and have improved their law and order except India where our leaders have mastered the art of making tall claims and sympathizing with the victims for a brief period. Mumbaikars are living in fear of bomb attacks for past two decades but our government seems reluctant to take any effective measure.
There is no improvement in the facilities at a grass root level even . The current political dissonance and institutional attitude do not inspire confidence.
Indian media needs to stop sensationalizing everything and should cover issues with sincerity and due diligence . It should be a strong corruption free crusader against injustice.
India is not keeping pace with its development needs। We need to delink politics from reform processes and improve our regulatory framework to reach our global leadership goals. We must not tie ourselves with allies which adversely affects our autonomy. We need to be more strategic in developing relationship with neighboring countries.
Government needs to confer 'infrastructure' status on all fronts । Brain drain should be checked and measures should be taken for reverse brain drain . We need to look into the reasons for people reluctant to serve their own country . The lack of innovation and quality research and development is putting our country at lower graph. Growth in jobs are needed . There should be major expansion in all spheres , be it health , education , science or security . Our products are not making any remarkable impact in global market . For our country to progress we need to have thoughtful leaders who do not ignore the demands of one billion population and resonate well with the common lot.

Ever tried to recharge yourself ?
The way we need a Sunday after six working days and a break of eight hours of sleep after 16 hours of hectic day to relax, similarly we need to rejuvenate and gather our strength back at small intervals.
By keeping silence we can achieve that . It means unplugging, disconnecting from the many sources that absorb our energy: problems, worry, pleasing, fear and overload। To be released quickly from all these debilitating socket points, we need to become introspective and quiet. This revitalizes our thoughts.Every thought we create is energy and it produces its own current, whether negative or positive. In quietness we step inside and we stabilize ourselves in the thought of original peace. Then slowly, we begin to feel great. This original current of peace releases us from burden and fear.
All things have their time. All things have their answers. All things have their right to be. Accepting this reality, all things come into harmony.

In quietness we step inside and we stabilize ourselves in the thought of original peace. Then slowly, we begin to feel great. This original current of peace releases us from burden and fear.

Beauty lies in the eyes of beholder.
Things are either allowed or disallowed. We must not allow others to poison our minds. We have our own intellect and experiences to know and understand others. Why to rely on others?
It is said that beauty lies in the eyes of beholder. When we find someone kind and modest, then it is our own virtue that sees the other person as good. It depends on ourselves what we want to see. When we are focused on others virtues then we start sending positive vibes to him, which connects us . While looking for vices makes us too negative and the negative vibes hinders in establishing a healthy relationship between the two.
An ant is tiny beside an elephant but as soon as an ant enters the ear of an elephant it goes crazy . The elephant’s ears are so big, the elephant itself is so big and yet a tiny ant makes it go wild. In the same way, if I allow the slightest defamation of anyone go through my ears, I lose all my spirituality. I lose all my value because I start interacting with others on the basis of what I have heard about them. Pay attention to this! We have to be very, very selective in what we allow to enter our ears. Let me learn to see only virtues and specialties. Let me not concentrate on anyone’s weaknesses.

Shall we stop being kind ?
Quite often we feel depressed or resentment overpowers us when we do not get the desired result and when our kindness is not being answered the way we anticipate.
But the question is shall we give up or stop being kind to others ?
People are often unreasonable, self-centered: Forgive them anyway.
If you are Honest, People may cheat you, but be Honest anyway.
What you spend years to build, someone could destroy overnight, Build anyway.
The good you do today, People will often forget tomorrow, Do Good anyway .
See, in the final analysis it is between you and God; it never was between you and them anyway.

What stops us to bend ? It is our EGO ! It is false ego which doesn't allow us to bend or accept the situations coming our way.
Those who learn from surroundings, past experiences and their own mistakes, they tend to rectify and correct themselves by bringing a positive change in there persona.
This constructive change enhances their beauty and make them more acceptable and desirable by all. No one can remain the same after some time. we change every moment and we are at times a completely different person with a positive change in us.
So we can say that change is the only thing which is constant। We are dead as rock if we do not change. Let's welcome the beautiful changes in ourselves and surrounding as well.

Modesty

Inner beauty
Our thoughts reflect our inner beauty. Our culture , education . thinking , upbringing everything gets reflected in our views. If we become more adaptive and tolerant towards the ignorance of people , we can peacefully find ways for the upliftment of society. This way we constantly work on our thinking and attitude as well which in turn enhances our inner beauty.
While we spend much time 'making up' our faces to ensure our appearance is beautiful for others, we forget to make up our minds. This is not about making decisions. Making up our mind means ensuring that our thoughts are positive and our feelings towards others are filled with good wishes. Who is Anna Hazare ?
1. Who is Anna Hazare?
An ex-army man. Fought 1965 Indo-Pak War
2. What's so special about him?
He built a village Ralegaon Siddhi in Ahamad Nagar district, Maharashtra
3. So what?
This village is a self-sustained model village. Energy is produced in the village itself from solar power, biofuel and wind mills.
In 1975, it used to be a poverty clad village. Now it is one of the richest village in India . It has become a model for self-sustained, eco-friendly & harmonic village.
4. Ok,...?
This guy, Anna Hazare was awarded Padma Bhushan and is a known figure for his social activities.
5. Really, what is he fighting for?
He is supporting a cause, the amendment of a law to curb corruption in India .
6. How that can be possible?
He is advocating for a Bil, The Jan Lokpal Bill (The Citizen Ombudsman Bill), that will form an autonomous authority who will make politicians (ministers), beurocrats (IAS/IPS) accountable for their deeds.
8. It's an entirely new thing right..?
In 1972, the bill was proposed by then Law minister Mr. Shanti Bhushan. Since then it has been neglected by the politicians and some are trying to change the bill to suit thier theft (corruption).
7. Oh.. He is going on a hunger strike for that whole thing of passing a Bill ! How can that be possible in such a short span of time?
The first thing he is asking for is: the government should come forward and announce that the bill is going to be passed.
Next, they make a joint committee to DRAFT the JAN LOKPAL BILL. 50% goverment participation and 50% public participation. Because you cant trust the government entirely for making such a bill which does not suit them.
8. Fine, What will happen when this bill is passed?
A LokPal will be appointed at the centre. He will have an autonomous charge, say like the Election Commission of India. In each and every state, Lokayukta will be appointed. The job is to bring all alleged party to trial in case of corruptions within 1 year. Within 2 years, the guilty will be punished. Not like, Bofors scam or Bhopal Gas Tragedy case, that has been going for last 25 years without any result.
9. Is he alone? Whoelse is there in the fight with Anna Hazare?
Baba Ramdev, Ex. IPS Kiran Bedi, Social Activist Swami Agnivesh, RTI activist Arvind Kejriwal and many more.
Prominent personalities like Aamir Khan is supporting his cause.
10. Ok, got it. What can I do?
At least we can spread the message. How?
Putting status message, links, video, changing profile pics.
At least we can support Anna Hazare and the cause for uprooting corruption from India .
At least we can hope that his Hunger Strike does not go in vain.
At least we can pray for his good health.

Contentment
Contentment is a great virtue, though it may not attract one's attention at first.Those who are truly content are usually quiet about it. It is a pleasure to be in their company, because they are full, peaceful, and generous.
Most people consider amassing wealth to be their prime duty। But just see what physical, mental and spiritual strain is involved ! Even if all this can be endured, how many people actually succeed in getting rich? Very few are able to get as much as they want. After going through so much trouble to get it, one cannot keep it for very long. When we die, everything turns to dust. A king today may be penniless tomorrow.
The same goes for titles and honour. To acquire them involves all kinds of physical, mental and spiritual problems, often with damage to health and wealth. Even if you succeed, your life is spent worrying about how to maintain your prestige. In addition to this, social and political upheaval can break you. So after thinking over these things, we have to conclude that getting rich or going after name and fame can never be the aim of our life.

When the troubles and worries converge and descend on the heart and mind en masse, Sangini, it is very distressing. These past few weeks have been harrowing, to put it mildly.
Hospitalizations for Shlok, your prolonged absence, other worries – all components of tremendous disconcert. All through the day, there is a palpable heaviness in the heart, turmoil in the mind, as I go through the motions of daily routines. Not feeling good, Sangini.
There is not much peace, forget joy. The only time in recent days I really felt happy was when I found the song on Lucknow. But that too proved short-lived as you might not have yet heard or read of it. Though the heart does say and the mind concurs – it is unlikely that you are not reading Our Samvaad of the day.
May be even if you have read and heard it, I think you did not like it much, Sangini. Happens. We have had our moments of wonderfully thrilling sharing. So, at times, dearest ZEAL, I can falter. The law of averages holds true for one and all. Endeavor is my karm and from that I shall not be deterred.

Kindness
We must take advantage of every moment and every opportunity to give happiness to others through kindness in our thoughts and we should be willing to overlook weaknesses and mistakes and have the desire to help everyone reach their potential.
For this purpose we need to be selfless to the core. At times we have to serve others at our own cost. Why do we hesitate to exhibit our goodness , charitable behaviour and concern for others. we ought to be very giving in nature without expecting any reward or the benefits that recongnition of the giving may bring.
We must feel a moral obligation to help, serve or benefit others , if necessary at the sacrifice of self interest, as we are born with a load of obligation to our successors, predecessors and contemporaries .

Spiritual Love
If we move from selfishness to self-givingness in our relationship with another, We not only experience a degree of Oneness with that person, but we also experience a degree of spiritual Love.
Spiritual Love is certainly more than the physical attraction or attachment we have for another person. It is also more than the vital feelings and emotions we have towards others. It is instead something truer, deeper, and longer lasting. Spiritual Love occurs when the lover, partner, parent, friend, associate, etc. seeks to give of himself without expectation or reward, seeking only the fulfilment of the other person. Ultimately, the highest expression of spiritual Love occurs when we surrender to, and offer our deepest devotion to the Divine, thereby fulfilling Its intention in life.
In addition to spiritual Oneness and Love, we also experience the spirit as pure joy and Delight of being. One way we can feel that Delight is by being self-giving to another person, as well as feeling the joy of another person's progress and happiness. We can also feel such Delight whenever we experience something new in the world, such as when we discover a new possibility, or come upon a new idea, or when we have achieved a new level of growth in our lives.
Quite often I have witnessed my soul dancing with utter joy and delight . It is because of the love i have experienced for others and the unknown .

Power of thoughts !
Thoughts have great power, they are like seeds you plant in your mind.
The more you hold onto a particular thought, the more power you invest in it. Positive thoughts give us energy and strength. Negative thoughts rob us of power and make us feel tired and strained.
We are by nature positive. Negativity is the result of faulty thinking. You can change if you want to. You can't control other people, situation or circumstances, but you can control what is going on inside you. It takes time to change and transform those old patterns of thinking.
Be patient with yourself.
